This is a note to our free subscribers. As we’ve already highlighted to our paid subscribers we are undergoing a restructuring.
There are two key changes.
The first is that we will slowly be migrating our service to Substack.
During the transition period we will continue to cross post on both sites, and the £5 “access for 24 hours” offer will remain available to readers here.
The second change is that we are consolidating our tiers. From now on there will be only one rate for Blind Spot content. If you’re considering a subscription for £24.99 per month (or £249.99 per year) please head to our new home on Substack here.
If you fancy a one-off 14–day free trial that we’re running exclusively in September, click here.
But there’s more.
In response to popular demand, we will also be spinning out stablecoin and CBDC coverage into a dedicated standalone service called Cash Equivalence.
This will be exclusively focused on stablecoins and CBDC developments. Fear not, the Blind Spot will not abandon these topics, but it will focus more on contrarian takes about the sector, since, let’s face it, it’s now entirely mainstream.
More broadly editorially, we are going back to basics.
There will be renewed focus on our core mission of providing contrarian, politically aware financial journalism through what we call “journalistic cartography”.
Moving away from overextension, the Blind Spot will prioritize big-picture analysis and frameworks to help readers navigate the shifting world order.
Central to our framing will be the idea that the world is entering a new Romantic era, where passion, identity, and self-reliance increasingly outweigh cold rationalism, shaping both society and markets in unpredictable ways.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!
