As most of you will be aware, I’ve been slowly migrating active subscribers from the old Blind Spot WordPress site at the-blindspot.com over to Substack this past year.
GDPR, however, has made this more cumbersome than appreciated.
I’ve tried to do this as responsibly as possible, giving you all the opportunity to migrate directly so I don’t get accused of spamming or forcing anyone’s hand.
However, since I’ve not been posting on the old site since May, and there are still a number of outstanding active subs on the old system, I’ve brute-shifted all of those to Substack on a complimentary basis based on the parameters of the active subscriptions.
I will be shutting down all the active subs on the old site at the end of this month.
Thus, if you’re wondering why you’ve been added to the Substack unexpectedly, it’s because you’ve been given a complimentary pass to make up for the lack of content on the old site over the past few months. When that expires, it will be up to you whether to renew. Your old payment plan will be stopped here either way.
If you, for any reason, consciously unsubscribed and were accidentally added despite this, it was an honest mistake on my part. Please unsubscribe accordingly.
